Our Lady of Refuge

Castroville, Ca

This church was a ground up construction in 1960 with A. Lanzini and Sons helped develop the architectural design of exterior which includes a magnificent 19’ tall mosaic of Our Lady of Refuge on the front of church. We did the entire interior including pews.

On the interior side of wall is a 19’ original mural of St. Cecilia.

All marble, stained glass and 30’ reredose behind altar depicting a hand carved corpus and magnificently carved surround with a beautifully carved hanging baldacchino. The hand carved stations of the cross and statues throughout the church.

In 2018 A.Lanzini and Sons did major restoration of church including wood and gilding restoration,bronze refinishing and a major restoration of the mural of St. Cecilia which was severely damaged by vandals renewing this beautiful mural to its original breathtaking beauty.
